Best Small Companies to Work for in America.  Our firm has always been committed to providing a superior work environment and career opportunities for our staff.  For the past three years, we have been nationally recognized for our efforts by being ranked #4 on the “25 Best Small Companies to Work for in America” list.  This list ranks the top 25 small companies in America that use smart people management strategies to develop successful organizations with highly productive and satisfied workforces.  The results were tallied by the Great Place to Work® Institute and were based on an employee opinion survey.  We were also featured in an article in the July 2007 issue of HR Magazine which can be accessed online here.

Copper Cactus Award.  In October 2007, we were recognized by the Wells Fargo Copper Cactus Award for Best Place to Work (31-75 employees). The Copper Cactus Awards, celebrating their 10^th anniversary in 2007, honor the accomplishments of small businesses in Southern Arizona.  The award program's mission is to honor the most exceptional local small businesses and to encourage all businesses to foster a better working environment and more competitive workplace in Southern Arizona.  The Best Place to Work award specifically honors businesses that encourage growth, education and development for their employees through the workplace environment or employee benefits. 

Other Awards.  Other workplace awards received by Heinfeld, Meech & Co., P.C. include the Grand Prize in the 2008 Workplace Excellence Awards from the Society for Human Resources Management of Greater Tucson, and the 2008 Culture and People Award (for companies with 36+ employees) from the Arizona Small Business Association.  Both of these awards honored Southern Arizona businesses who excel at providing exceptional employment practices and promote a positive workplace.  Our firm was also named one of the Top 25 Workplaces for Women in the February 2008 issue of Arizona Woman magazine and recognized by the AICPA's PCPS for our work/life balance initiatives in 2008.
