Nancy A. Meech, CPA, CGFM
Founding Partner

After working for the Office of the Auditor General for six years, Nancy Meech joined Gary Heinfeld in forming Heinfeld Meech & Co. P.C. in 1986. As an independent auditor, she has performed hundreds of financial statement audits for governmental entities, coordinated the firm's federal compliance auditing practice, and coordinated several of the electronic data processing audit functions for several complex computer installations.

Nancy graduated with honors from the University of Arizona and received a B.S. degree in Accounting in 1980. In 1983 she became a Certified Public Accountant and has spent all of her professional career consulting and auditing governmental agencies, which led to her designation of Certified Government Financial Manager.

Her accomplishments include:

  • Instructor/Presenter for the AASBO Accounting Certification Program
  • Presenter for numerous AASBO workshops and classes
  • Presenter for several national organizations such as the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Advisory Board, and the Great Places to Work Institute  
  • Recipient of the University of Arizona Eller College Alumni Associate of the Year award
  • Instructor at Pima Community College and the University of Arizona
